The focus has been on analysing and solving the problems of policy choices that combine growth with redistribution (Growth, poverty, labour markets, human resources, education sector, budget planning, transition economics, and structural adjustments).
· Recent interests emphasize the developmental settings circumventing these problems; in particular how these problems are shaped by the mix between markets and governments, behavioural institutions, and informational access. (Institutional economics, economic systems, global governance). The research interests share the common ingredient of closing the gap in policy making between theory and practice, which is also reflected in related advisory works.(Microeconomic policy, program and project evaluation, public financial monitoring and institution building)
